Good morning it's a bit wet this morning but all the better for spending a bit of time in the craft room, this week over at
CD Sunday we have a nice shiny new challenge chosen for you by Wynn and she wants us all to think about our curious cats.
For my card I used an old cd from Joanna Sheen, The Jayne Netley Mayhew collection and for the backing paper I used another old cd from cupcake Crafting called Walk on the Wild Side. I took the paper into Craft Artist and using a page set as 7.5 inch used this as the background, I then imported the picture and added a layer behind it to give the effect of an extra mat. Once the sizing was as I wanted it I used the text tool to add the greeting, the great thing here is that it's just a click to get the words centred. I printed this out and layered it onto a black card and as this is for a man who isn't into fussy I just cut a few strips from the black card to add a little interest.

Now we also still have our
Purple Crazy challenge going for another week so I've made an extra card for a bit of inspiration for you.
I used a not so old cd here, this little bear is Etty from the
Winston Collection from Polkadoodles, I love that you get both the coloured and the black and white versions so if you're in a hurry just print it off in colour but if you have a bit of time and as we know what a great way to relax print the black and white one off and choose your own colours. I used my Graph'it markers to colour her in, I bought quite a few from Joanna Sheen recently when she had a sale on them and they were only £1.49 each. I love the vibrant colours and they do seem to blend easily, I just need to invest in some brush tips for the ones I use the most. The backing papers are from a couple of cd's the purple one is from
Rose Bud and the fabulous top sheet is from
Dollie Daydream Goes East I have had this cd from quite a while and have never noticed this paper before but it's perfect for what I wanted. I used a couple of spellbinder dies for the flowers and the leaves are from Tattered Lace. The sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp.
