Add some bling or glitter with CD Sunday

Good morning all, another two weeks have passed and it's time for a brand new challenge over at  CD Sunday, this time it's Sue who has chosen the theme and she's been good to us and chosen something nice and easy - Add some Bling or Glitter now what could be easier?

For my card I cut out a shape with my Silhouette, did an internal offset and cut that out in grey before using a pre-coloured image from the newest cd from Polkadoodles called Serenity there are some beautiful fairies both coloured or in black and white for you to colour yourself.
I used one of the sentiments that come on the cd, I really like the tickets and I edged it with a Graph'it pen. The flowers are from one of the other cd's from Polkadoodle but I can't remember which one as I cut a lot out and keep them in a bag ready to go, the die is a Tattered Lace one which is delicate enough for the card.

I am entering this in to the following challenges;
Fairy Tale challenge - Feathers and Wings
Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes
Inspiration destination - Anything Goes
Whimsy - Anything but Square

Party Wings

Hello everyone, it's sunny, it's Saturday and all's well in the world so I thought you may like to see a little project I did the other day.   I was going to show it to you the day I did it but one of my teamies used the same image in very similar colours so I thought I'd leave it a day or two.
This is a 5x7 card and not my normal size but I've been given a load of cards and papers and these were in the box so I decided to give it a try.  The image is from the latest cd/download from Polkadoodles and she is called Serenity, I don't think Nikky ever sleeps because she keeps making these wonderful cd's for us to play with and this one is so pretty and perfect for the girls in your life no matter what age.

I used one of the backing papers from the collection and distressed the edges, I used a die I've had for ages and it was one of those I had to have and have only used it a couple of times I think it's a Couture one.  I've used mostly Graph'it pens but the very pale hair colour is a Copic, I coloured the wings with the same colour as the hair and a pale pink but thought she needed glitter so used a zig pen and sprinkled some fine glitter over.

I'm entering this into the following;
Craft for the Craic - Wings
Artbymiran - Anything Goes

Now I am looking at the picture I have noticed that the bow is on upside down but I've managed to swap it around and it's now the right way up.

Serenity

Good evening, I've been a busy bee today, shopping, a bit of gardening and some sorting but I have managed to find time to have a play too.  Have you seen the newest collection from Polkadoodles, well she's called Serenity and she's such a pretty fairy that I had to make something with her. Mind you now I've finished the card I'm not sure I like it but I know someone who will so it's already got a home to go to.
I coloured her in with my Graph'it pens and then made the mistake of putting what was meant to be a clear glitter gel over the wings but it has changed them a lot and I was pleased with how they turned out.  I cut the butterflies out and coloured them to match the colours in the image but once I'd stuck them down wasn't sure if I liked them I do however like the flowers which I've had in my stash for ages.

Girly but no Pink with Polkadoodles

Good morning all, I'm a bit late this morning with my DT card for the newest Polkadoodles challenge which this time is Girly but no Pink.

For my card I used the Milking Time with Kittens from Work and Play 10, you can get the full collection or just buy the digi if she's the only one you fancy, not that I believe you'd only want one!

The great thing about buying the collection is that you get the coloured as well as the black and white images so if you're in a hurry or have no inspiration then she's good to go, I used the colured image here but changed the colour of the flower as it was more pink than lilac, you might notice the bird house peeking out from behind the die cut mat and that is from the Twiggy and Toots collection which is rapidly becoming a firm favourite.

I'm entering this into the following challenges
Aud Sentiments - Cute plus a sentiment
Crafting with Attitude - Anything Goes/Spring Fever
Little miss Muffet - Anything Goes

Stepping Out at CD Sunday

Good morning, it's a bit blowy today but hopefully it will keep off rain and I can get the washing dry. This week at CD Sunday Jocelyn has chosen Stepping Out as her theme for this fortnight, I had something in mind but couldn't find the cd it was on so settled for using Fabulous Shoes from Katy Sue Designs.
I used a precut card and put it through the printer, I can never manage to get a tidy look if I try to print the backing paper and attach to these fancy shapes, I used a Tonic die to do the circular background and added the pre-coloured topper off cemter to give it a bit of interest. The topper is from a sheet so I have several others to use up but this is a lovely one so it will be fine and I'll manage to use them all.
Because I off sett the background slightly I had room for some pearls and a bow , I used the bow maker to and added some lace in but not sure you can see it in this picture. I added glitter around the topper edge, more to conceal the fact that I had cut it with scissors so it helps to hide any imperfections.

I am entering this into the following challenges
Allsorts - No Squares Allowed
Crafty Calendar - Things With Wings
Kraftyhands - Pearls and Lace
Art by Miran - Challenge 32 Anything Goes
Sister Act - Always anything goes

Things with Wings at Polkadoodles

Good Friday morning to you all, it's another inspiration post for Polkadoodles today and our challenge is Things with Wings.

I've used the beautiful Eden for my card and wanted to keep it fairly monochrome so used my Graph'it pens to colour her.
The backing paper is from the full Eden Collection and I used this one to cut the butterflies too. The lace is my latest addiction and the sentiment is a Tattered Lace die.

Hopefully you can come over and join in with us and have a look at what my teamies have been doing, they are pretty amazing!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

CD Sunday - Curious Cats

Good morning it's a bit wet this morning but all the better for spending a bit of time in the craft room, this week over at CD Sunday we have a nice shiny new challenge chosen for you by Wynn and she wants us all to think about our curious cats.
For my card I used an old cd from Joanna Sheen, The Jayne Netley Mayhew collection and for the backing paper I used another old cd  from cupcake Crafting called Walk on the Wild Side.  I took the paper into Craft Artist and using a page set as 7.5 inch used this as the background, I then imported the picture and added a layer behind it to give the effect of an extra mat. Once the sizing was as I wanted it I used the text tool to add the greeting, the great thing here is that it's just a click to get the words centred.  I printed this out and layered it onto a black card and as this is for a man who isn't into fussy I just cut a few strips from the black card to add a little interest.
I am entering this into the following
Crafts for Eternity - Inspired by Nature
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes
Now we also still have our Purple Crazy challenge going for another week so I've made an extra card for a bit of inspiration for you.
I used a not so old cd here, this little bear is Etty from the Winston Collection from Polkadoodles, I love that you get both the coloured and the black and white versions so if you're in a hurry just print it off in colour but if you have a bit of time and as we know what a great way to relax print the black and white one off and choose your own colours.  I used my Graph'it markers to colour her in, I bought quite a few from Joanna Sheen recently when she had a sale on them and they were only £1.49 each. I love the vibrant colours and they do seem to blend easily, I just need to invest in some brush tips for the ones I use the most.  The backing papers are from a couple of cd's the purple one is from Rose Bud and the fabulous top sheet is from Dollie Daydream Goes East I have had this cd from quite a while and have never noticed this paper before but it's perfect for what I wanted.  I used a couple of spellbinder dies for the flowers and the leaves are from Tattered Lace. The sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp.

I'm entering her into the following
Fussy and Fancy - Lots of Flowers
Art by Miran - Anything Goes
Alicia Bell - Add some Flowers
