Everything Stops for Tea - CD Sunday

Good morning and a Happy Sunday to you. It's time for a brand new challenge over on CD Sunday and this time it's Jocelyn's turn to choose, she has decided on Everything Stops for Tea. She could be right as we all need a brew now and again just as the young lady in my card has done, she's having a rest from shopping and it looks quite windy where she is doesn't it?

I've used a couple of the Polkadoodle cd's for this card and had a bit of fun colouring the image in, the flowers and backing paper are from the Winston collection and the digi is from Dollie Daydreams - Girl Talk which has both coloured and black and white images so if you need a very quick card you can just print off a precoloured image.  I cut the flowers out with my Silhouette, I did a print and cut and when I traced the flowers the cut wasn't smooth but I decided to leave it and see how it looked once it was cut out and I quite like the result as it gives the flowers a bit of texture.
I've added a bit of lace that I bought from Brenda via her facebook page, beware if you haven't seen the things she sells it could be a dangerous place to visit. I have also used a couple of Memory box dies, the smaller ones are just a corner die (Madera corner) cut in half and the border one is called Cherish which I have had for quite a while.

I hope you can join us and have a bit of fun, you could even win a little prize if Jocelyn likes your make the best.

 Here is what I've used

I'm entering this into the following;
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge
Digi Design Challenge - Use lots of embllishments

  1. I agree those flowers are fab Jenny. I'm admiring your colouring in which is something I hate doing. Mine is always rubbish whereas yours looks great. W x

  2. Beautiful Jenny, i love all the layers and dies, the lace is lovely, I have been on that site and ordered some lace, your right you could get a little carried away. xx

  3. Beautiful design Jenny and if your lady was here today her hair would look like that as it is blowing a gale. Love the lace and thanks for the link to Brenda's page, already ordered a few bits :)

  4. Gorgeous card Jenny and wow I love your blog background and header - you know what I'm like about anything Indian. Thanks for visiting my blog - so good to see you. You have been sorely missed on the forum.
    Hope work isn't proving too much of a nuisance. Annie xxx

  5. I love those flowers - they look very effective. Really lovely card and that breeze blowing her hair around will cool the tea down too. :-)
