Sticks and Bones

Oh My Goodness!  I am a little late to the party but with something as good as this I don't mind. I am super busy in work and have been doing some training days away from from home and am finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel as next week is my last trip and hopefully I can start to spend more time in my craft room.

So even though I haven't had a lot of time I've been looking at all the samples from the design team and those lucky enough to have already got your copy of the download or disc and couldn't help but have a tiny play.

Of course because I couldn't wait I had to print off and make something, my lazy days with the pens and pencils will come but looking at this I''m happy with the pre-coloured images and all the extra added bits.

If you haven't seen this collection yet you have got to go over to Polkadoodles and have a look, I bet you won't be able to resist!

I'm entering this into the following challenges
Crafting with Friends - Anything Goes
Jo's scrap Shack - Anything Goes

Love and Romance at Polkadoodles

Good morning and Happy Friday to you, it's time for a new challenge from the gang at Polkadoodles and this time it's Love and Romance. I know we always seem to be looking at something in the future but it is only a short time away to Valentines day and as it's a leap year you girlies will be able to pop the question at the end of the month, I'd love to know if you do and he says yes!

I have chosen to use the great Work and Play series for my card and this one is number 9 Love and Kisses, I have been a bit strapped for time with a lot of work commitments so I decided to use one of the shaped cards in the collection, all you do is choose the one you want, print it out and make it up which ever way suits you.
I have decoupaged the lady in the bath but you can't see it in this picture, all I added was a bit of sparkle and some ribbon the rest of the card was there ready on the two sheets I printed out, there were some bits left too!
I'm entering this into the following;

Winter Birthday with Polkadoodles

Hello folks it's been a while since we had a new challenge over at Polkadoodles but this is week two of Winter Birthday so I'm back from the holiday break with this little number.
This is the lovely digi Oddella Twig which I coloured with Graph'it markers, I don't know about you but I think of blue tones when I think of winter cards but that's probably the thought of being blue with the cold!  Anyway I decided to use this fab aqua tone and found a perfect match with a backing paper from another of my favourites, Octavia Frosted Winter with the sentiment coming from Work and Play 6.  Don't you just love how all the collections can stand alone but mix together so well too?

The die cuts were all cut from white paper and then coloured  with the Graph'it pen then I used a Wink of Stella clear pen over the top, I used the glitter over the sentiment too but in the picture it looks a little dirty but it is quite sparkly.

I am entering this into the following challenges;
Aud Sentiments - Anything goes plus they are having a DT call
Crafting with an Attitude - Always Anything Goes
Crafty Girls Creations - Anything Goes
Through the Purple Haze - Anything Goes
Hanna and Friends - Die cuts

Anything Goes with Polkadoodles

Hello there, have you all been busy with your Christmas makes and now want a bit of light relief?  Well over at Polkadoodles this time it's an anything goes challenge to ease you out of the rush of getting everything done and into a new year of challenges. This challenge will run until January 15th so lots of time to add a make or two.

For my make I have used Serenity EarthStar, I have used the pre-coloured image but she would be a dream to colour and is available as part of the collection or on her own as a digi.  The backing paper comes from Work and Play 10 but it works so well with this image you would think it was made for it.

I do have to let you into a little secret, this isn't exactly as I had envisaged but the glitter card was my last piece and I misjudged it when cutting the circle and ended up with a chunk missing so had to cover it with the sparkles but I think it looks ok and don't think you could tell.

Well looking around there are so many Anything Goes challenges that all my choices have the same theme but here goes with the challenges I'm entering my card into.

Traditional Christmas with Polkadoodles

Hello there, it seems like an age since I did a blog post. I have had pc problems, even having to go to pc hospital and who knows where the days have gone but here i am with another post for our challenge over at Polkadoodles.  As it is December it seems appropriate that this time our challenge is a Christmas one, this time it's a traditional Christmas.
For my card I have used one of the pages from the brand new colouring club launched last month by Nikky for those of us who want a bit more from our colouring than for it to sit in a book.  It took me a while to colour this image and I'm glad it's going to be enjoyed as a card for a few weeks.
I have used my Lyra pencils to colour the image and then sprayed it with a fine glitter spray, the sentiment is from the Frosted Winter Collection.

The team have made some stunning things this time and you should go over and have a look if you have the time, and of course join in and maybe win a prize.

I'm entering this into the following challenges
Crafting Musketeers - Use a Sentiment
Card Mania - Christmas
ABC Challenge - ~W is for Wishes
2 Creative chicks - Anything Goes
Crafty Hazelnut's - Anything goes as long as it's Christmas
Doodlepantry - Anything goes
Natalie and Amy - Christmas

Autumn Colours at Polkadoodles

Hello all, I'm here with a bit of inspiration for the current challenge over at Polkadoodles.  I have used an image from the Colour Therapy 2 Inspiring Foliage and although not a Christmas image I thought it would work quite well for the season so that is what I did and I'm quite pleased with it.

I have coloured with my Lyra pencils and then sprayed with a glitter spray to give it a luxury look, not that it shows in the picture.

Pop over to the blog and see what my teammates have done, some great ideas for you to see.

A bit of colouring

I've been having a play with my latest addition to my crafty stash, I bought the latest colouring cd from Nikky Hall over at Polkadoodles.  I bought it from C&C because I had a £10 voucher but to be honest if I had paid full price I'd have been more than happy, it's got lots of things I want to colour rather than just a collection of things in a book.

Nikky has also started her colouring club and for not a lot of pennies you can join in or not depending on the images available each month, that's my kind of club cos you're welcome if you want to join in but it's fine if you don't want to.  I haven't completed any of those designs yet so watch this space later in the coming weeks.
I've used my Graph'it markers for this and for the sky I used a couple of Pan Pastels but they don't really show up in this picture.  The ticket sentiment is from Twiggy and Toots, and I think suits this card perfectly.

Challenges entered;
Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Doodle Pantry - Anything as long as it's digital
